Description of the Lesson:

In this lesson entitled, “Nutrition”, the students will use print and digital resources in order to: (a) identify the different parts of nutition; (b) explore different ways to include nutrition and fitness into everyday life; and (c) answer correctly the assessment activity at the end. The lesson was taught using Powerpoint presentation. The teacher gives brief information about nutrition and how fitness and eating right helps that body function through slide presentation.  In Physical Education, we did an interactive activity that reflects information that was presented in the powerpoint presentation.  After, the activity we went back to the computer lab and used the information to complete the final activity of the lesson.  The last activity is called "Nutrition Jepordy".  In this activity, the whole class will play using Turning Point clickers wherein students choose topics that relate to health and determine which statement is described in each block.

Reflections:

I decided to teach is Photostory lesson, buy creating on of my own using the topic of recycling as my backdrop.  I used my creation as my warm-up.  After the presentation was finished, the students and I discussed how this technology used and how it was able to convey Patuxent's environmental journey through 21st century technology.  The students where excited to see a project like this.  Many of them were amazed and asked was it hard to do and were they going to do it.  Once they said that, I knew the they were hooked and that this lesson was going to have great presentations.  As you can tell, from the student's presentation below.  I was truly pleased with thier creations.  Technology and Physcial Education can be infused together and Photostory is great way to do it.
